Love Island: Bombshell Tom Clare compared to Jordan North and Jake Cornish

The Love Island launch show ended in explosive fashion on Monday night when bombshell Tom Clare strutted into the villa.

The semi-pro footballer, 23, had been sent in to shake things up as a fresh new face – but viewers at home were convinced they’d seen him before, comparing Tom to past Islanders Jake Cornish and Tom Walker as well as Radio 1 star Jordan North.

Taking to Twitter in their droves, fans began telling Jordan, 32, about the similarities, with the DJ quick to laugh off the comparisons.

He quipped: ‘Imagine waiting your whole life to go on #LoveIsland training and eating well the weeks before to be told you look like some beer bellied gosbs***e off the radio. Poor Tom! ❤️’

Not everyone saw the resemblance with Jordan, however, tweeting: ‘Tom is Jake in disguise #LoveIsland’; ‘ Tom giving [Zac Efron] #LoveIsland’; ‘ tom is jake 2.0 #LoveIsland.’

‘Tom looks so much like jake #loveisland;’; ‘Just me or does Tom look like Jake #LoveIsland’; ‘Thought I saw Tom somewhere before #LoveIsland.’

Tom isn’t the only Islander who bears a striking resemblance to past contestants.

Viewers were left convinced that newcomer Tanyel Revan, 26, is Turkish actress Ekin-Su Culculoglu’s long lost sister, as they pointed out their striking resemblance.

Taking to Twitter during the hairstylist’s first few minutes on the ITV2 show, fans noted that she could be the former winner’s twin, adding that producers did a ‘copy and paste’ job.

Viewers insisted that the north Londoner is a double for last summer’s Love Island winner Ekin-Su, with her caramel highlighted locks and olive complexion.

One person tweeted:’ Tanyel is Ekin-Su’s long lost sister IM TELLING YOU!! #LoveIsland,’ with another asking: ‘Is Tanyel ekin-su’s long lost sister?? #LoveIsland.’

‘Love island really said let’s Copy and Paste Ekin-Su for Tanyel #loveisland,’ added a third person while someone else insisted: ‘Tanyel was copied and pasted from Ekin-su #LoveIsland.’

One fan of the show noted: ‘Tanyel is literally an Ekin-Su clone bro #LoveIsland,’ as another tweeted: ‘Tanyel is literally Ekin-Su’s twin #LoveIsland.’

Prior to the winter series of Love Island, Tanyel underwent a ‘£4,500 makeover’ with filler, permanent make-up and ‘full facial rejuvenation.’
