Chase Chrisley has claimed jailed father Todd is enduring ‘nightmare’ conditions as he serves a lengthy prison sentence for bank fraud and tax evasion.
Former reality star Todd, 54, is serving 12 years in Pensacola, Florida, with wife Julie, 50, serving a seven-year jail sentence in Lexington, Kentucky after the pair were found guilty on federal charges of bank fraud and tax evasion and submitting false documents to banks to take out loans, reportedly worth more than $30 million.
Speaking on sister Savannah’s podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, Chase, 27, said about his father’s alleged prison conditions: ‘It’s a nightmare. They both have no air conditioning.
‘They are both in states where it gets to be 100+ degrees, and there’s no air conditioning.
‘I don’t care if you killed somebody, if you’re in a government facility, you should have air conditioning.

‘At the end of the day, it’s my parents. I mean, I don’t [expect] anyone else to feel bad for them. [People] don’t have any sympathy until they’re in the situation and it’s their loved one.’
Savannah, 25, also claimed their mom ‘has rattlesnakes just casually slithering on the floor in front of her’ and has allegedly seen ‘snakes in her cell, around her bed.’
She added: ‘It’s just crazy to sit and watch Mom and Dad go through that. But luckily, they have the fight in them”
Chase said: ‘They’re strong, and they have remained loyal to each other, they love each other. They are strong individuals. They weren’t built to break and this, for damn sure, isn’t going to break them.’
Todd and Julie were indicted in 2019. After a lengthy trial, they were convicted on ten counts of fraud in June 2022. They were convicted in June 2022 by a 10 person jury.
They received their sentences in November 2022 – and quickly watched their reality TV empire crumble as a result.
Their television show, Chrisley Knows Best, as well as the spinoff, Growing Up Chrisley, was yanked off the air by USA network. For many years, the show served as a platform to boast about their exuberant lifestyle.
While going through the proceedings, Todd said, ‘In a year we probably spend $300,000 a year, probably more, on clothing. I approve every piece of clothing that our children wear.’

Splitting up: Chase revealed that he and his fiancée Emmy Medders had ended their relationship on Tuesday
This comes after Chase revealed that he and his fiancée Emmy Medders had ended their relationship in an Instagram Stories post on Tuesday.
The Chrisley Knows Best star and his former fiancée, 26, had both stripped their social media accounts of any trace of the other ahead of the announcement, which appeared to have left fans questioning what happened to the couple.
A source within the Chrisley family described Chase and Emmy’s split to DailyMail.com as being ‘not on good terms.’
They added that the engagement began to go south as soon as Chase’s parents Todd and Julie Chrisley went to prison after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion.
‘Chase believed that she was only with him for the fame because things changed between the two of them when their show was canceled, and parents were sent to prison,’ the insider said.’
But they added that Chase also bore some responsibility for the breakup.
‘Of course, he was going through a hard time and acted out as well,’ the family source said. ‘He wanted her to be more supportive and, instead, she became more distant. The family has shut her out now.’
